Overview
This exhibition analyses the design processes of the MIAS architecture studio, founded by Josep Miàs in 2000. Through the works produced by the studio, the exhibition takes an in-depth look at all that goes on before the work is built.
These pieces showcase a journey through the design process by exploring seven concepts: Between Lines, Anything Could Happen, Oneiric Spaces, Assemblage, Takeaway Architecture, X-RAYS and Ripped Surfaces. These sections address some of the fundamental actions behind the creative and productive process of the studio.
Some of the models, sketches, collages and images of this exhibition were recently displayed in the MIAS room of the Pompidou Centre, and are part of the museum’s permanent collection.
