From the extractive industry to the knowledge economy. From the cement plant to the Innovation District.
The project has the ambition of becoming a world reference as a strategic nucleus for the knowledge and innovation industries, respecting the industrial heritage of Vallcarca and giving it a new value, while becoming a new economic engine for the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.

With a planned investment of more than 440 million euros, the regeneration of the former Industrial Colony aims to turn the area into an Innovation District driven by high value-added economic activity linked to knowledge, especially in the audiovisual and ICT sectors, in the image and likeness of other European innovation districts and Barcelona’s own 22@: based on a mix of productive, residential and commercial uses and public cultural, educational, sports and leisure facilities.
