F-CAD Software patented by UPC Barcelona Tech for Torre Barò Social Housing

The innovative software program for the prefabrication of the double-curved panels of the building was undertaken with collaborators at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia who have since patented the program to industrially manufacture similar GRC panels for the broader market.

Can Zariquiey Health Centre is completed

The refurbishment and enlargement works of the mental health clinic in Arenys de Munt have been completed. The clinic was inaugurated alongside the presentation of the new book ‘Orchids for Health’. The book is conceived as a comprehensive compilation of references and images, providing detailed descriptions of the building.

Miño Still Water Confederation featured in ‘future’ magazine

Miño Sil Water Confederation Headquarters project is the Winner of the international competition. It will work for the three major cities where the Drainage Confederation has responsabilities: Ourense, Lugo and Ponferrada. The corporate headquarters and offices seek for the relationship with the bridge and the city, as final landmark in a journey over the river.

Butterfly House is completed

One of our latest projects has been recently finished. Butterfly House, a single house located in Besalú, Girona (Spain). One of the most interesting things about the project is how the spaces get together in a single volume standing on tree-like pillars which help to dettach the house from the ground, making it hoover over the landscape.

MIAS Architects selected as a winner for competition to design the new Water Confederation Offices in Ourense

The proposal aims to reorganize a significant urban area in Ourense by addressing the division between the city, river, and park. It seeks to create a continuous environment, connecting key landmarks like the Millennium Bridge, the Palace of Justice, the Roman Bridge, and the Health Center.

‘Il Cielo iGuzzini’ exhibition at the Bartlett School of Architecture

The exhibition shows the design process of the project for iGuzzini Illuminazione Iberica Headquarters in Barcelona. The main materials are study sketches, drawings, study models and details produced during the project evolution, from the competition till the completion of the building.

Plug-in Building in Barcelona is completed

The new office building reveals itself as a fragmented complex, with vertical voids between diverse volumes. The Plug-in Building is part of 22@ Poblenou, the urban revitalization initiative located in the Poblenou district of Barcelona. This project aims to transform a disused industrial area into a technological and innovation district, attracting innovative companies and startups, and creating new job opportunities in the city.

iGuzzini Illuminazione Headquarters is completed

The new iGuzzini Illuminazione Iberica Headquarters is located in a delicate landscape near a highway interchange. To preserve the topography, a significant part of the building is underground, while the office section floats above the ground. The headquarters functions as an R&D center, encompassing storage, exhibition, distribution, and management of iGuzzini lighting products, with additional spaces dedicated to technological development and research.

Generalitat Education Department’s program for this project was to increase the number of both normal classrooms and specialized spaces, such as a gym or a multipurpose room.
